DEPARTMENT OF ENGLISH
The Department of English started its educational service from the inception of the college by offering part II English for PUC, and UG Students of I & II Year. B.A., English was initiated from 1979-1980 and the same in II shift from 2008-2009. It was upgraded to be a Post Graduate Department from 2017-2018. The Faculty is strengthened with 5 regular members, 5 Guest Lecturers and 3 PTA Lecturers in Shift I and 5 Guest Lecturers in Shift II.
Interactive teaching methods are practised to develop the calibre of the students. The Objective of “Each one Teach one” has been framed to support the school students of illiterate parents as a community welfare programme in which the UG English Students adopts a neighbouring school students and artists in studies.
Peer teaching is a participative learning technique followed by all the UG & PG Students. Hourly dictation and Daily Topic are the other methods to equip the students with real life skills and enhance them to have better Creative Quotient.
